A Little About My Approach
Life can bring seasons of difficulty, uncertainty, and pain. During these times, many people benefit from working with a professional counselor to help make sense of their experiences, walk through challenges, and grow toward healing and wholeness. I have been helping clients navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and other mental health concerns since 2012.
My counseling approach focuses on caring for the whole person—mental, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing. I practice from a Christian worldview and welcome conversations about how faith can support healing and emotional health. I also encourage clients to consider the role of a Higher Power in restoring clarity, hope, and balance, as reflected in 12-Step principles.
I utilize evidence-based therapy methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems theory, and EMDR to address current concerns while also making sense of personal history. My goal is to help clients take ownership of their mental and emotional health and develop healthy practices that support a meaningful, fulfilling life.
I believe that simple truths, when practiced intentionally, can guide us toward healing and restore emotional and mental wellbeing.

God is for you even when it does not feel like it
Grief is exhausting but if you commit to seeing it through, you will again experience joy and peace
It is not good to be alone too much
Loving yourself (with humility) is crucial to learning to participate in healthy relationships
Sleep and a healthy diet are both essential to emotional and physical health
There is no changing the past, but we are free to make wise choices in the present which can dramatically improve our future
We can change if we are motivated to and learn to make small, steady changes
You can overcome difficult memories & trauma and live a satisfying life
